On a Mission for Families

On a Mission for Families is an event created for the enjoyment of active military families and their children. It’s day of fun-filled family oriented activities that will bring joy and happiness to the entire family. This event is an opportunity for the local community to show their support and gratitude for the men and women who are serving our country.

Mission Statement

"On a Mission For Families" is designed to show appreciation for military families, recognize their sacrifices, and provide an event in which they can connect and offer support for one another.

  • Family Portraits by Event Photography, LLC
  • Friends of Botanical Gardens activity
  • Live music performed by the Blue Ribbon Band
  • Gifts from community sponsors-given randomly through raffle tickets
  • Greenfield Police K-9 demonstration
  • Watermelon eating contest
  • Wisconsin State Fair Park Police Mounted (horse)
  • Additional family oriented activities

Event is free** to currently serving military service members, including all branches of Military service and their respective reserve and guard units. Military ID is needed for entry. Please be sure to bring valid military identification, such as your currently serving Military ID and Families & Dependent ID. Our event is going to be held rain or shine. This will also be a dry event. No alcohol is permitted or will be served. Other restrictions may apply. For handicapped or special needs please contact On a Mission for Families at info@onamissionforfamilies.com and we will do our best to accommodate.

*Sponsored by The Bartolotta Catering Company and is subject to change. ** No alcohol-dry event.  There is a $2 per person park entry fee.
